Stories from STEM – Know Your Power

This presentation explores how STEM courses, despite their challenges, offer significant rewards. Professor Lewis will discuss how understanding climate change chemistry through basic chemical equations can inspire meaningful actions and how the American Chemical Society provides resources and networking opportunities. The talk will include personal stories from a career in STEM to inspire perseverance and storytelling.

Towards Electrification of the Chemical Industry

Professor Minteer will address advancements in the sustainability and decarbonization of the chemical industry through electrosynthesis. The presentation will cover the use of biocatalysts to overcome reaction selectivity issues, innovations in electrode materials, and applications for electrosynthesis of value-added products, with a focus on sustainability in the chemical industry.
